He has to be off property within 24 hours which will be around noon tomorrow, or actually today (Friday, September 2nd) after looking at the time just now. We have no transportation and because of his lack of judgment, he no longer has a job or housing. He is not allowed to stay with me per company policy. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where he should go for the next two weeks? He has a tent, sleeping bag, and most other necessary camping supplies but does not have a stove or any other means of cooking. I'm open to any and all suggestions. I am absolutely at a loss as to how to deal with this situation.
Moonbear, please update us on the situation. Is he camping?

No, Tek...nobody held him down and poured beer down his throat. As I said in my initial post, he made a bad choice and it cost him. He knows he screwed up and has nobody to blame but himself. With that being said, my son is by no means, an idiot.

And yes, he is camping. Thank you to those who offered suggestions and concern.

Glad to hear things are working out. I'd say he was just being a teenager. We all make mistakes and then have to learn from them. Good luck with the rest of your season.

Well hope all works fine, sorry I couldn't have been more help!

Be driving down through there today, with last nights frost here, fall should be in high gear!

Funny how the place there folds up after labor day!

Good luck on your stuff as well!

Maybe he should contact the Talkeetna Lodge. I think they stay open until the end of September and with college students going home now, they could have openings. Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge | Ultimate Talkeetna Lodging With Unsurpassed McKinley Views!

If he doesn't have the money to stay somewhere maybe he can offer to work for a room and his meals for the short time left.

My oldest son got kicked out of Jobcorp for passing a beer to his girlfriend who was 20, he was 21. They have been together for five years and got married a few years ago. He then started college and is working towards a degree in nursing. I just sent him to Job Corp because he was super shy and felt he needed to get over it a little.

I think that anyone that reaches adulthood without a rather lengthy list of things they wouldn't want their parents to know about is deluding themselves. Screwing up is part of being a teenager, learning how to cope with real life and making good choices is what we all strive for with our children. Glad to hear he is okay Moonbear even if he is a bit chilly. Hugs to both of you.
