I already wrote something on FB, but I should say it again: your grandmother even affected me in some small way, thousands and thousands of miles away. As I have been studying your people, almost all of the old photos of the dancing have your grandmother in them, often front and center, leading the way. She was really an amazing lady, and I know that without ever having met her.

May she rest in peace, and all the best to you and your family during the time of mourning. It sounded like she was supported well up to the very last second of her life by her wonderful, loving, caring family, and that is a beautiful thing. You are blessed to have known her.

Yes, as Ship said, grandma had a great affect on me also. After reading all the news articles, how could she not. Really is a wonderful lady.

I'd say that was definitely a true statement!

She is survived by 10 children:

A list provided by the family included three adopted grandchildren.

The list also noted 60 grandchildren, 161 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

That's so true! I'd love to learn more about her. I am sorry, Warptman. I lost my grandmothers a long time ago-my parents were older so I didn't get much time with them, but treasured every moment.
