Well it has been snowing today and the last few days, not much came down, few inches at best, but the wind had made some good size drifts across the driveway and parking areas. So got to go out and use the fourwheeler with a plow on it to get the snow moved out of the way.
At times the snow gets too deep to keep pushing it back farther, so I have a Sears Craftsman Snow blower to push it back over the snow piled up to create more room for new snow.
How do you guys clear snow at your places?
This was a few years ago, driveway is about 150 feet long from the highway and then about 100 x 100 feet parking area.
Ahhh what i wouldn't give for a snowthrower... I hand shovel mine... the street crew leave me presents of 3 ft deep ice solid snow that is the real challenge!! Mother Nature's gift of weight lifting LOL
Well since I live by the highway, the State Snowplows keep the driveway well supplied with snow berms... Which are waiting for me as I am turning off the computer to go out and remove!
I used the snow mower for a few years, but that became tedious. Half the time I don't need to plow anyway - just wait a couple of days and some crazy wind will kick up and scrub the driveway clean. But for the other times, I use THE BEAST:
Well got the drifts knocked down. Was plowing with the headlights on, but the
Moon was out almost full and there was some Faint Northern Lights, so I shut the headlights off while plowing and it was really bright out with the moonlight on the snow!
Was a really neat evening, temp was about 10 so it wasn't too bad with the gear on!

Similar to my rig i had... only it wasnt a Found On Road Dead and it was a western plow. So it wasnt that similar other than a blue truck and red plow
Too dry, but can make a small pile of snow so the dog has a place to mark... He gets upset when I plow it off into the berm, so I have to make a new one for him each time.... Go figure!

There are quite a few other skid steers in town, but most people use snowblowers or 4-wheelers with plows, and/or hire someone with a skid steer or loader.
