Thank you, Chris, Stephanie, Siouxcia, Rance, and blackzzzz- those were shot with my 100-400mm, a tripod, and a lot of patience

Wow...so the 100-400 is a great landscape lens too! Woulda thunk it? And so many people bash this lens? I bought my 100-400 along with the 70-200L f/4 IS which is widely considered the best Canon zoom but I rarely if ever use the 70-200. It's going up for sale soon to buy a new 50D.

The 50D is on Santa's list - now convincing him I have been a good girl is another thing entirely

I don't think he needs convincing. Has he met with success?

No. He called in the largest bull he has ever seen and had a 'misfire' with the arrow. Has called in five total, but the winds have kicked up (it's Wyoming, nothing new) and they had rain yesterday. Last I had heard he was setting up the blind in a different area this eve and trying it again.

Well I'd be thinking that his potential trophy trying to mount him would be of interest to anyone who brought a camera along.
