On my very first trip to Alaska this past summer, a sow and three cubs visit me at my bed and breakfast inn-they were climbing up the stairs to go to the hot tub. Some pics are very shaky because needless to say, it's not something i expected to see and I had to run for the nearest camera and just start shooting. I was already in bed with my contact lenses out of my eyeballs so I could barely see. I heard the ruckus from the innkeepers dog barking and the innkeeper yelling and swatting a broom on the upper deck, this is what I saw when I looked out my bedroom window, and outside the door. This happened on Skyline Drive, way up in the mountains, overlooking Homer Spit. I was so blessed to experience this. I fell in love with Alaska on this trip. And cannot get it out of my mind. These pics were published in Anchorage Daily News. Enjoy!
