Isn't Mitch out of Seward? I know Seavey's have a place in Sterling but they do have one in Seward. It's where Karla and Sweden rode dog sleds last August.

I need to ask a probably (or "prolly") dumb question :-))

Those sled dogs.... are they happy? Are they taken care of well? Do they get loved and hugged and sleep in beds with the family???

That one dog in one of the pictures posted looked really miserable so I'm worried!

All sled dogs are taken care of well. They each have their own dog house in a big yard.

And they actually crave running and pulling a sled! They live for it. They go nuts when the driver starts rigging up the team. And when it comes to racing...they are watched over very carefully. They are the heart of the team and no one wants to haul a dog when they could be pulling and part of the team. So yes they are very well cared for.

I'm glad. It just seems like such hard work for these puppies and in those temperatures!

I know. I'm bad news when it comes to animals.
