Nice Dawn, that's one thing about birch and aspen, they light up nicely.

White birch is one of my most favorite trees. Love the bark color, the small leaves, its smell and the sound of the wind in its leaves.

This is a photo I took this last week of Mt. McKinley while driving from home to Anchorage while stopped at the Alaska Veterans Memorial. I used it in a thread on the Military section, but the Mountain always leaves me in awe.

The rest of the photos I took are at that site for those interested in it:

OK, that's funny, you and I have allot of the same photo stuff. Yes, I have DxO, though I admit I don't use it as often as I should. I did notice the new modules for the 5D2, though they still don't have one for the 17-40, which I imagine would be a pretty popular combo. Cool that you got the screens. My order from B&H should be arriving in the next day or two.

That's fine with me. Glad you like it But keep in mind that the photos I post on the Internet are not of the best quality, and get king of grainy once enlarged past 5" x 7" or so on the computer screen. I could send you a better quality (free) copy of the same, if you like. Just send me a PM.

Ray

Moose,

Check again. The 17-40mm module is available for the 5DII. I like that lens - the corners are soft wide open but tighten up around f/8.

Instead of trying to prove you are a troll in past threads, why don't you start posting some of the photos you take since you clearly have a really nice camera system that should take them. Even if you post them in the California thread, you can post the address here for members to see.

Yes, I too would enjoy seeing some of Notree's photos. I am always inspired by the work of others. Maybe I can learn enough to someday be more than just a hack with an expensive camera!
