Hi. I am thinking of going to Alaska Pacific University to study marine biology. Could anybody give me any info about APU? Just general things such as what it is like, is it a good school and anything else. Also, is Alaska even a good place to study marine biology? I live in Florida now but I want to get out and do something new. I want to experience new things and I figured Alaska was a good place to do this. Thanks!

APU sits adjacent to the University of Alaska ~ Anchorage & Providence Alaska Medical Center in the middle of Anchorage. I'm not familiar with their academics though... Why APU? The University of Alaska ~ Southeast offers a Marine Biology program at a much cheaper price:

My wife goes to APU and they have much better instructors and the school has a better reputation. They also have a MUCH more robust online program.

My niece graduated from UAF in marine biology, dove off many boats around the world with travel paid...now working for AK Fish and Game in Dutch Harbor, she didn't do online...sorry, she makes her own beer too...cheap....
