Bugs In Juneau (live, mosquitoes, places)

I did some research about most cloudy days, and Juneau came in near the top. But my niece who lives in Mission BC says she went there and the bugs were pretty thick. Does Juneau have a lot of biting insects compared to other places?

The main bugs here that bite are no-see-ums and mosquitoes. We have a lot, but there are places with more and places with less. As to exactly where we lie is anyones guess.

Bugs are not a problem normally in Juneau. On warm days with little wind they can be an issue but those days are rare.
