Re: warptman's picture.

Darn, you beat me to it, but it might work better if they baited the hooks.

So Warptman wants a fish story. Okay. One morning I grabbed a friend and headed out to the taller end of the fishing hole near Tenakee. Mosquitos were wicked, winged cannibals divebombing the three of us (dog included), when a pole began to hum and spin like the anchor winch on the Queen Mary. Rascal weener dog gave chase to the splash - right over the side. Friend reached over and yarded the hound aboard about the time the fish made a run for the other side of the boat and I followed suit, swooped down with the gaff and hauled in a nice Coho. That's about the extent of my fish story today, but any fish story is better than none. Especially the one when I WAS trolling and set my sunglasses on the pilothouse roof to use the "bucket" and watched, otherwise occupied, as the boat rolled and they slid into the deep. I expect Mr. Limpet was quite pleased with himself to have scored those. Eh, maybe I don't have a good trolling story today.

Well, thanks for that. I was rather surprised and offended, but don't blame her for being cautious. Onward.

This is how I would define internet trolling:

An attempt by an attention-starved individual to draw the ire of as many people as possible, and elicit emotional, angry responses from them.

Hi, I don't live in Alaska, and don't know anyone who does. But I wanted to just mention I saw this thread title prominent in the Alaska forum since it's at the top, alphabetically. I clicked it out of curiosity - thought it was referring to trolling for fish in Alaska? So I read all the posts and I have to say you guys are awesome. You have great humor and can take things in stride. Entertaining thread overall.

I'll now return to my depressing Health and Wellness forum, where people ask dumb questions about questionable medical practices, and expect intelligent answers, but only as long as the answers don't present facts, because facts are against the rules

Thanks so much - you all cheered me up!

I'm glad that was not your intent because when I saw what you posted, my jaw did drop as I couldn't believe you would have posted such a thing. I didn't say you were trolling, I said that it was an inappropriate comment to make about my 12 year old daughter. Sorry if I took it wrong.

I didn't see the referral that got me censored, just the reprimand that trolling was not allowed and that what I had posted was considered as such. Huh?? Anyway, the moderator that pinged me forwarded my apology on to you, and as long as it's understood that I meant nothing derogatory, I guess no harm, no foul. Cheers - and good luck with roller derby.

No one forwarded me anything. I just came back here and saw your explanation and took it as my misunderstanding (though you could see how that happened).
