The Glacier Highway through Jasper and Banff NP's was an awesome drive.
OMG, do I second this comment. We did the same drive. If you ever have extra time in the drive thru Canada part, that is the place to spend it. Other than stopping at Liard Hot Springs for a quick dip. We didn't stay overnight in Banff NP though, just drove through and stopped at things along the way.

AK76, I apologize for the misquote and didn't mean it as a challenge. Just honestly thought it was interesting.

TKO and Dakster, we LOVE the Icefields parkway and have camped in Kootenay and Banff. Beautiful, and the campgrounds were very nice. They did charge an arm and a leg though. $30 or $40 just to drive the road, plus $30 to camp (no hookups) and $10 for the tiniest bundle of firewood. We traveled through both in May and July. In May, there was nobody on the road and we saw probably a ton of bears and other wildlife. In July, there were people everywhere and we didn't see a darn thing.

No worries, interesting is good, I do not like misunderstanding is all.

puff5655, I know better than to trust my memory (but I keep doing it anyway), Icefields Pkwy it is. Didn't see many critters in August either but a bear, the first deer I'd seen for a while and a lot of people. I love our Rockies down here but theirs are definitely unique and worth seeing.
