I'll be half hr or so south of Glennallen the last part of July. I plan on doing a few days fishing while there, what can I expect to catch (kings, coho's)? I found a chart, online, and it looks like that is the end of the salmon run. Will the salmon caught still be worth shipping back home to the lower 48?

I've fished down there only a couple years, but I don't think you'll be able to keep any kings that late in the run. The sockeyes are excellent though, and the run trails off slow. My buddy and I got 14 good size fish over a relaxed evening and morning there in mid August last year.

Thanks for the info. Glad I will be able to keep something. Wish I could have planned an earlier trip.

Oops, I was thinking of dipnetting in the Copper River (which isn't available to non-residents). Not sure what the regs are for fishing other than that.

You want to try to fish the Klutina River anywhere from the bridge across the richarson to where it runs into the Copper. should be good fishing. The klut. and the copper flood pretty easily that time of year when it gets hot and sunny so beware. They're both fast and dangerous at normal levels let alone flood stage.

Anyone know if there are any deals, in the area, on propane frig and freezer? I'm going to need something to freeze the salmon and keep some food in. I'll be flying into Anchorage.

The Copper River is so silty that you may not be able to see anything in the water, but rivers flowing into the Copper usually are very clear.
