Good to hear your home is upright and seemingly intact, Rance!

We're in Wasilla and got shaken pretty good. No damage, but our well water is pretty muddy. I'm hoping that by letting run it'll clear up.

First time it's happened to us, but this is the biggest quake we've had since we've lived in this house. I've heard from a few others that their water is muddy too.

Medicine cabinet unloaded into the bathroom sink. Few odds and ends on the floor. Weird thing is, stuff that I would have thought for sure would hit the floor, appeared to not have moved. Things I thought were secure...on the floor. Funny how earthquakes work. Didn't really run the water much so I don't know if that changed. Well is only 32 feet deep so probably no issues. Used to be artesian...maybe it will come back.

Some of the oil wells out here at work that were basically dead, suddenly have good pressure and one even produced 80 bbls by 6AM this morning. We were fixing to work it over in hopes to get some sort of production out of it. Might not have to mess with it now.

Glad you are all OK.

I've never been at the center of a quake, but being originally from California I've had a few adventures--all with no damage to anyone or anything, fortunately. It is an odd sensation walking with the ground rolling underfoot, or waking up because an invisible train is chugging through the room!

Let's hope the apartment and studio are fine too - I just realized I left all the framed portraits up on their shelves around the studio when I left! Here's to hoping the $1,000,000.00 insurance covers earthquake damage ...
