Hi, i've been studying abroad in California since 2015.
I'm planning to travel Alaska from April 18th to May 31 before i go back to my country.
From April 24 to May 31 i need a housing so i'm trying to find a room for rental for those days.
I prefer a room in a house which a ordinary family lives.
I can pay up to $600 and i expect to use a kitchen and laundry machine. I'm 24 years old and male from Korea.

Sounds like fun! You'll probably have more luck with Craigslist or Alaska List, but watch out for creepers and scammers. If you're flexible about arrangements and don't mind not staying at the same place the entire time, you might also try the Couchsurfing site - most couch surfing hosts only want someone for a few days, a week, max.

If all else fails, there are hotels like "Extended Stay America" in Anchorage.

Good luck, and hope you have a great adventure

$600 a month -- could be tough.

I looked at a house that they had rooms set to rent out and they were $1000. But they did have their own bathroom in them and you had access to the washer/dryer for laundry and your own full kitchen.

There are people who run hostels in their basement rooms that are cheap. $600 for 30 days would work. I'm not sure how you find them; I was referred to one by a cruise line. You'll have to do some Googling, OP.

If you were going to be here in the winter you'd have no problem. I was able to get a bed and breakfast place many years ago and they were glad to have the income in the winter. Your arrival is in the shoulder season. You could still check with them to see if they have anything available at a reasonable rate.

Since you are from Korea it may be easier to find someone in the Korean community that Anchorage has. My friend is Korean and lives on island and contacts Korean people from Anchorage to get her stuff all the time. They seem to be be a tight knit group
