I was in Jr high in Spokane when Mt. St Helens blew about 200 air miles or so away. Got 1/4 of an inch that fell in the town and pretty much closed things down for a week. Right now stepson is in Bethel and afraid he might not come home Friday.

Alaska Air, Ravn, Lynden, and Evert's cancelled all flights to Bethel today. Grant Air is on WX hold. Only one that was flying here today was Yute Air.

Eruption seems to have stopped for a bit, with the activity to Orange and status back to Watch.

Hope those flights can safely resume soon.
