My daughter and her family moved to Eagle River in May from Wisconsin. They are loving it. Adjusted well and taking advantage of many wonderful opportunitities.

Don't even think about coming up here without a job lined up and ready. And a place to live lined up and ready.

And expect that you will move back where you came from within three years.

Don't follow a youtube personality and think that is real life.

Nice thing about Eagle River is, that it is closer to Alaska than Anchorage!

We moved to Alaska after spending time in a few different states. My spouse drove the entire alcan 29 Aug- 5 Sept. That was with sleeping, fuel breaks, and eating stops. I will say, drive safely. Retail is very much in need of people at this time, other jobs are hard to find and harder to keep. Wish you the best
