I'm jealous you get to go to little Norway days.

Someone once told me that the entire town parties for days and dresses up like vikings. Then they binge drink viking blood and alcohol and rob and pillage everything in town, including coast guard ships, even going as far to steal some of the coasties' hats. The coasties don't mind and everyone has a great time.

He was old, so maybe this was back in the day, but is there any truth to this^? I've wanted to go ever since, because who doesn't love dressing up like a viking?

So you went last May? What was it about your experience you didn't find worthwhile?
I've been to Petersburg a couple of times but only for work.

when it is time to close up, they are pushing you out, doesn't matter if you just paid for you food and sat down, had to toss mine in the garbage on the way out the door. That was at the traditional Norwegian dinner hall, also the parade is only two blocks long, keep in mind we arrived towards the end of the celebration, so that might have had something to do with it, but I won't be going back for the festival. The place its self was ok, we borrowed a car and drove around some.

Yes! I was surprised, after all they did sell it to me and they could have started pulling table cloths on the other side of the room, there was no one on that side....or why sell me anything....They picked up my plate to pull out the table cloth!! You don't touch someones food!!

I wasn't there, and although I agree that it may have been bad customer service, these things are usually run by unpaid volunteers who have been working nonstop throughout the entire event. And going to a place 5 minutes before closing just isn't done. Get it to go and find a picnic table.
