I'm happy to say that the plane tickets have been bought and my girls and dogs are heading up on June 16th! We're staying 8 weeks and hubby will be up for about 3-4 of those weeks. I can see us never wanting to leave. Our friends who moved to Eagle River last year have fallen in love with Alaska and never plan to leave. So it looks like I might, one day, be able to make that car trip, just not until the girls are a little older.

I would love to drive to Alaska. I don't know why that has become my obsession, but I am trying to convince my husband to go. How expensive is it, because thats what he is most concerned about.

this is an old thread, did you bring it back to life because you live in Maryland and want to drive to Alaska??
