Over here on the right coast there is a commercial promoting Alaska. Your leader says that its safe, "Alaska has one of the highest vaccination rates in the country", so I looked it up. Everything I saw says Alaska has one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country, #48 at the time. doesn't bother me, just thought it was interesting.

I believe it was filmed awhile back, like over 2 months ago? What he said used to be true, now it isn't.

Some areas of the state, such as SE, have high vaccination rates that surpass the national average.

According to the Anchorage Daily News, as of last Monday, 50% of residents over the age of 12 were fully vaccinated. Of all states, AK ranks 29th in terms of vaccinations.

As for Donleavy's claim about AK being "safe" that is so subjective its laughable.

Dumleavy said something true? I guess it's as they say, even a broken clock is right two times a day.

The commercial is old now, and not current with the present situation in Alaska. Also, one has to consider that the numbers relating to COVID-19 vaccinations in Alaska compared to other States are "per-capita." Also, in some areas of Alaska the vaccination rate is superior to the vaccination rates of other areas in the lower-48.

Alaska, per capita:
The mortality rate by 4 July = 0.5%
The average mortality rate = 3.6%

Turning this thread into "politics" does no good for anybody.
