I forgot how good Nerds are, especially the grape. It's amazing how many you can fit in your mouth at one time! And the laffy taffy, give me the banana & the grape anytime. Oh ok, & the cherry....but that's it. Now I want some nerds.

We had ONE! Just one, and yes we're on a cul-de-sac, but we're on;y 2 blocks from Dimond HS. Another lost Hallowe'en.

We had 50 show up. I remember when we used average around 150. I think only 3 on our block had lights on, so when the kids hit the nearby intersections, they go the opposite direction. Of the 50, about two-thirds were middle or high schoolers.

I seriously considered going from house to house, knocking on the door, yelling trick or treat, then handing out candy to the person answering the door. I only had two visitors myself. It was a little cold but that never stopped them before. Hmmm...

I thought for sure that we'd have maybe 4 or 5 kids tops. But we had closer to 30! I'm glad that I didn't listen to my wife & bought 16lbs of candy.
Strangely, I had no visitors whatsoever. It may have had something to do with my 130 pound mastiff puppy sitting on my front porch. Or maybe it was the spiked pit traps and claymores I set up around the yard. Who can tell with kids these days?

Yeah, kids these days have no adventurous spirit.

No trick or treaters here. In fact, I can't count the bags of candy at work brought home from "no shows"

I was at this nostalgic store in Knoxville and saw alot of old school candy. Does this jog anyone's childhood memories?

Cobolt,
I remember all that candy. Those wax sticks and bottles I use to make at the wax factory here in Buffalo NY. It was my first summer job. Use to make candles also for Avon.
