Not yet, I got off work at noon and I'm having lunch right now. I'll go wander up to the airport to see if the C-46 is still around and the Turbo Otter. Love those old planes!

Thanks Capt. If you could find a way to stop tearing up the roof of my mouth that'd be awesome. The great info somewhat makes up for all the scrapes over the years.

Get a hold of Providence Hospital's Human Resources, they have a signing bonus of about ten to twelve Grand and will pay for moving expense if you are an RN. Pay is about the high twenties for starters, more as you get more range in duties.

The Anchorage PD is about a year long process to get in if that is where you are at.

Good Luck

I'd either take the ferry or barge everything up.

I agree with taking the ferry. That's the way we moved up here and it was a great way to go.

I'd say drive, lots of country to see. I've driven the Alcan 13 times now, it gets better every year!

Check out Warpt's photos...they are remarkable and really give one a sense of the drive.

If you have any firearms then definitely take the ferry.

That's one of the reasons we took the ferry, I have a couple handguns.

We are looking into shipping our household up. Thankfully we are downsizing dramatically but as yet I have no idea what companies are near us that we could use. We were going to pull in a trailer but I think it'd be easier to ship. I have googled plenty and I'm still looking. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to have you share.
