What is going on in the Valley? For those wanting gun control, read this from the ADN this morning:

Lazy Mountain man beaten, home burglarized in break-in: Crime | adn.com (http://www.adn.com/crime/story/595475.html - broken link)

Another home invasion!

Buy a gun, learn how to shoot it, and the next person that breaks in your house will get a surprise. I firmly believe that when the average Joe homeowner starts responsibly arming himself and firing at invaders, there will be less home invasions, or the ones that happen will end up with Joe's happy family being just fine and some chitbag bleeding to death (hopefully) on his front steps.
I would absolutely not hesitate to fire at a home invader; I think we've been conditioned to be more fearful and less "fight back" mode; look at some of these school shootings! In some of these cases (not all), kids just cowered in corners while a shooter took aim at one after another of their classmates; when did people start thinking that "lay low" was the only way to survive this crap? We must keep in mind that sometimes the only way to survive is to fight back. And that's yet another reason NOT to start clamping down more useless "gun control" legislation.

Anybody trying to break into our house would definately be in for a surprise, our .44's hang from the bed posts so they are in arms length at night. People have a right to protect their families and property and I would never hesitate to do so with force.

I've got my H&K USP 40 S&W in the nightstand and the Benelli M1 Super 90 under the bed. Both with Tac Lites.

"Go ahead, Make my day!"

I just love the Glock...all the abuse they've given it in their testings and for its simplicity. I prefer a pistol to a revolver as I am finding out.
