Eh, if it were only so easy. Between July 2007 and now, the wife and I have moved from PA to CA, and from CA to AK. Granted, most of the move from CA to AK was paid for but we ditched a lot of stuff and buying a new home always racks up the expenses.

Plus, he makes almost double the combined income of my wife and I. Which is not insignificant.

Have him give you the money, and you buy it. It is perfectly legal to "gift" a long gun to someone who is legally able to recieve it as a gift (i.e. not a felon ,etc...)

Bingo! That's what we are considering. I am SO FREAKING GLAD that we moved out of that craphole state. Common sense and cognizance of indisputable empirical facts are against the law in the People's Republik of California.

I have been known to voice my opinion on the state of California on occasion. It is usually not fit for young ears or persons with delicate constitutions.

I suppose I just don't get the "joke"; probably just as well.

Think I'll drive down and see the redwoods today.

Here in the Knoxville, TN ammo is not out, but running low. Gun sales are though the foof. Assault rifles are on backorder and handguns/ammo are running low.

An article in the Knoxville newspaper last week stated a spokesman for The Gander Mtn. store as saying that the store was running out of rifles and low on handguns and are out of some ammo. Below is a link to the article if anybody wants to read it. But it's not just that store, it's everywhere here in East Tennessee.

Hodge: Gun sales booming big time at Gander : Outdoors : Knoxville News Sentinel

I passed my class to get my "handgun carry permit" last month and the class was packed. They only take 20 people per class, but had to take 26 due to the back log of applicants. Anyway the instructor asked why was everybody taking the class, the unanimous answer was "OBAMA".

The wife says I can have a new handgun for my Christmas present and to celebrate me passing the class. I was waiting on the holiday sales like last year but I'm afraid I waited to long.
