Fort Greely is right next to Delta Junction, on the Richardson Highway. There will be Army and some civilian "chicks," some working with you, and others in other units. The Army will give you all the warm military gear you will need, from gloves (mittens) to boots, and you can buy your own civilian clothing at the PX there, or at the BX at Eielson AFB. Eielson is located just before you reach North Pole. You can drive to Fairbanks and buy whatever you want at the malls, or at the following places:

-Sportsman Warehouse
-Sears
-Big Ray's
-The Prospector
-Frontier Outfitters
-Apocalypse Now (for the most expensive winter gear you will ever see in a lifetime)
-Fort Wainwright PX
-Fred Mayer
-A whole bunch of other places I don't remember at the moment.

Delta Junction is pretty much a neighborhood (houses, businesses, etc. by the Richardson Highway). There are three or so gas stations, NAPA, a supermarket, a few food joints, bar, etc. Big Delta is just at the other side of Delta Junction, and there is a bar, ATV dealer, green houses, a couple of other business, and homes all along the road.

More than likely there are chicks in a lot of those homes, although some may be married. Just be careful Almost forgot: when in the military at Eielson AFB, and airman once told me, "Sergeant...I have become aware that a lot of Alaska girls are like Alaska tomatoes: plump and juicy." No idea what he was trying to tell me, but maybe you can figure that one out
