What's the "k" in $500k ?

It's another American slang for thousand. So $500K is $500 thousand or $500,000

There had been the holiday of native peoples of Chukotka in Anadyr not long ago. This holiday is named "Ergav" (Эргав). It sounds approximately like "Let's be friends".
