We got your back pard, not to worry.
Wait, that lil tree hugger guy? You mean that one that was all whacked out about the beautiful gorgeous wonderful all-natural, spiritually aligned and super-marvelous bears he thought he knew all about and that ended up eating him and his naiive girlfried who was dumb enough to come up there and hang out with such a whacko in that situation with bears that love soft stupid tastey white things?

That wasn't an Irwin, it was Timothy Treadwell. Went off his meds he did... very sad...

No surprise there, none at all, but what on earth are they thinking? The guy comes up there, goes unarmed into major bear country in a most provocative way, with quite predictable results.

I can't imagine why outsiders think they have anything to come at you with on this account. Seems pretty cut and dried to me.

I did a LOT of camping alone in the high Sierras, and no way would I have been there unarmed! Nor would I have been so abyssmally stupid as to cook where I sleep! Up there it was black bears, but bears is bears, and they are all about food and can smell a molecule of food from 5 miles or better. Bacon grease they smell from 10 miles or better.

Anyone with a brain knows that.
