Beach asparagus is a delicious little plant that grows in patches on the gravelly beaches. It looks & tastes like tiny asparagus but it even keeps it's crisp when canned. It's my favorite wild green along with goose tounge & nettles, (I keep my asparagus patch secret).

For tea I gather & dehydrate all the new spring blueberry leaves, spruce tips, raspberry leaves, nettles, whatever else is out there that's delicious. There's a pot on back of the woodstove all winter long. Speaking of winter, since we aren't having one I'm heading to the beach with the 4x4 for a load of seaweed for the garden. Never got around to it this fall, sun is shining, tide's low and I'm burning daylight. Have a great day everyone!

Blueflames, how come you're not here to help?
