What are your favorite restaurants, coffee places, cafes, parks, shopping centers, etc. in and around Saratoga? Doesnt have to just be in downtown Saratoga - even surrounding towns. We'll be stopping back up that way this weekend as we continue our house hunt and I'd love to know where we should be sure to stop.
Scallions for a great Lunch
A walk thru Congress park
Coffee at Uncomon grounds
Diner at the Grey Gelding or the Cantina ( both on Broadway)
The info booth on Broadway and Congress park entrance is great, lots of good stuff to be had there, and its smack across from Cold Stone creamery...
Down in Clifton Park there's a BBQ place we love. It's called Giffy's BBQ. They are on Route 9. They won a BBQ cook off on one of the morning shows a year or two ago. They beat out BBQ places from all over the country.
Just wanted to say that I hope you've already visited the resort town of Lake George at the southern end of the lake with the same name; north of the Saratoga area. I've enjoyed summer visits/vacation time at Lake George. On the west side of Interstate 87 you can drive up Prospect Mountain for views out over the lake and forests. I always enjoyed the dinner-boat, sightseeing boat, & excursion boat cruises out/up through the beautiful lake. Lots of little shops, restaurants, motels, and other vacation activities.

Good luck to you in your home search.

Our family owns a vacation home in the village of Lake George so we are up there quite frequently. We love it there as well (we were just up the past 2 weekends and will be again this coming weekend). I agree - lots of great stuff up that way
