I live in Sussex county nj. High real estate prices, very high taxes. I've been looking in Wayne county Pa. Real estate prices are less but near Sussex County nj.. My friend lives near Walton NY. He keeps sending me adds of real estate there. Very, very cheap. Compared to Sussex county nj and Wayne county pa.
Why is this? Why are the prices so cheap in Delaware county NY? How are the taxes?

It is a very rural county and contrary to what you hear and/or read, not all of NY State is expensive.

BTW- Delaware County isn’t in the Albany metro area.
