Probelms calling the NYS DMV driver improvement unit at 518-474-0774 (transfer, move)

I can't get anyone to help me. The judge dismissed the case from years and years ago.

It goes like this you call and ask if I have been removed from the "National Driver Registry" yet.

If you have "stops" on your driver license that prevent you from renewing or reinstating it, you must clear them with whatever state [NY] entered them into your driver record in the National Driver Registry (NDR).

So I call this place called the NYS driver improvement unit that can remove me from that NDR thing It just goes in a big circle, they tell me to call the ticketing unit a place with this ugly acronym "T-Sled."

You call that place they say they don't have the judges order you have to call the court,

You call the court "we sent it". I believe the court did send it. Someone is playing games.

I don't believe its just me having these problems that's why I signed up here.

This is going on for weeks. I stopped calling for a whole week thinking maybe someone did there job but again today the same thing but now instead of just transferring you to the next office they put you on hold and never come back. 2nd time they did that.

Case dismissed, even better then not guilty so why am I dealing with the DMV punishment departments at all ??

Something s just not right they are playing games. When they take driver license its almost instant when judge says case dismissed they wont restore.


Anyone else dealing with this place and having problems ?

Waiting for this topic to maybe show up in searches and get to talk with other people they are abusing.

I should record these phone calls they say “This call may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance and training purposes.”

That sounds like permission for me to record it too. I am just going to ask am I allowed to also record this too for quality assurance?

What they do now too instead of the run around call someone else is they put you on hold and never come back. I plugged in the phone charger and I was left on hold 4 hours before I disconnected cause I had to use my phone,
