My husbands boss is moving the company to Albany. He lives in a brownstown in Park Slope Brooklyn, and is very much into the "Cafe Lifestyle". I am sure after visiting and really liking Center Square...he would love to be in a brownstone by the park and have the business in the downtown business district and walk/bike to work. Only problem is he has two kids that will be in middle/high school soon, and his son has azbergers syndrome(sorry if i mispelled that, really) and heard that Albany city schools are not that great. They go to great charter schools right now, and were sent to privates schools for elementary. Is there anywhere in nearby that is like center square (walkable, on bus line, restaurants nearby) with good schools?

School 19 isn't that bad and is close to Downtown. It is in the Albany City SD too. Here's some info.:School 19 - Albany, New York - NY - school map

Here's a good site to check other schools out as well:Albany Schools
