Hi folks...I am thinking that Saturday's lightning may have done a little damage in our house. The alarm system has been flaky since that time, and today, I noticed some of the outlets are not working. I've reset circuit breakers but that didn't help. I draw the line somewhere on the maximum number of electrons I am willing to play with, and have decided I don't wish to end my retirement in "a flash."

Can anyone out there please recommend an competent electrician who has a reasonable attitude toward compensation?

We had a positive experience with Bill Collins at Academy Plumbing (who also does electrical work despite the name) 293-4949. We had some outlets that stopped working and he fixed them quickly and I remember the price seeming reasonable (it's been awhile, so I don't remember the numbers, but I saved the business card for future use if needed, and I only do that when they are good and reasonable). Good luck!
