Man arrested in brutal double rape of woman, child , for some reason, there seems to be too many crimes against women and children in NM.

You must have just seen that on the news like I did.
It's disgusting.
I don't know if this type of thing happens any more in NM than anywhere else in the country.
I could comment more, but I won't. I don't have very nice things to say about the guy who did it.

This is the type of crime that makes the death penalty make sense to me.

I don't watch local news. Reading the paper is more than enough. When I first saw the title of this topic I thought of the probation sentence given to the man who killed the woman who was on her bicycle. (paseo de volcan?). Cocaine was found in his vehicle.

This was in Thursday's paper. Of course I don't know all the details but what I thought was "way to go judge!"

Just horrific. Things like this make me wonder if I even want to live in a world in which they happen.

My condolences go to the victims and families. I have no idea how to prevent the first assault by this pervert but I have a good idea how to prevent the second. His first assault is his responsibility. Any more are ours.

It does seem like judgments are too lenient here much of the time. Hence the ongoing DWI problem.

This is just an awful story. A 5 year old child. My prayers go out to both victims.

crimes against children and women seem to be too common in NM, I guessing that is one factors that they take into consideration when the polls list NM as one of the worst states for children.
