I was in Albuquerque last night and rode the Sandia tram, it was absolutely amazing, I made it up there just in time for the sunset and seeing the lights of Albuquerque were absolutely amazing! Not to mention if you looked the other way you could see the lights of Santa Fe, I loved it! I'll definetely recommend people ride that when they visit. I wish Oklahoma had any mountains period to go see like that, and I may be from Oklahoma but I refuse to call our hills "mountains" like some do, they aren't mountains, period. I'll post a couple of my pictures later.
If you ever get to New Hampshire take the Cog Railway to the top of Mt Washington. Or drive up if you dare. There are great views of a couple of states or just the back of your hand if the clouds roll in.
The Sandia Tram is on our must do list the next time we are in NM.

Um, Mount Scott in OK is definitely a mountain, as are the Ouachitas. Take a drive up Mount Scott sometime, Im sure youll be pleasantly surprised!
Mount Scott only rises 1,000 ft off the ground, technically that may be a mountain, I'm not sure. But compared to the Rockies there's no way they can compare.

Actually, Mount Scott offers better views than some of the Rockies Ive been on. Just because the Rockies are 12, 13, and 14K feet, doesnt mean their base-to-summit heights are that. The Rockies are beautiful, but so is Mount Scott, its just a different kind of beautiful, and its definitely a mountain.
I'm not big on heights and I've done the tram several times. It's great and the scenery is unbelievable. I always take visitors on the Tram. And I've eaten at the restaurant too. It was good. We just had burgers and sandwiches but had a nice table with a great view.
