My phone has been showing 4g off and on tonight. I know we're due for it "before the end of the year" but I haven't seen a date other than that. Happening to anyone else?

Verizon announced at least several weeks ago that Albuquerque and Santa Fe would have 4G by the 20th (today). I'm sure there will be some bugs to work out though since each tower needs to be worked on, and that's also why Verizon phones have been getting pretty bad service lately.

Please let us know what you think of the vzw 4G once it's up and running... compared to 3G...
I just bit on a $50 iphone 4 now that the 4S came out, and verizon iphone of course doesn't do 4G... Will be waiting til the iphone 5 for that I guess...
I travel enough I've played with 4g in ATL and SLC, and its pretty freakin' awesome. I bought a song in the salt lake airport just to see, and it was purchased and downloaded in about 5 seconds.
We'll see how it does here. I'm at the edge of enchanted hills and coverage is pretty bad here, so I may be a bad sample....
Got a 4G internet hotspot yesterday here in Santa Fe. They claimed it would be 10x faster than 3G and if it's not, it's damn close. It rocks! I'll be upgrading my phone next month. Looking at a Droid, but don't know which one yet.
