The Culture - There's many ethnic groups here but little vibrancy in showing off representative culture. The neighborhoods tend to look alike. People tend to dress the same;plain and bland. theres some eateries here and there but nothing different from even some homogenous cities. There's a lack of accents and no flare. Lack of diverse cultural events.
You want to see culture? Go to Austin,San Antonio,and Orlando. You don't need to go to large cities like Chicago.
The Lack of Congestion - agree
The Cost of Living - but Albertsons will rip you off and Smiths has poor quality of choices. Every other expense is cheap.
Bio Park - The botanical garden is nice but everything else is unimpressive.
