They must be thinking there "will" be enough, cuz TJMaxx and BB&B and all that development on Enchanted Hills wouldn't be there unless they had done extensive research on demographics and probably the home development/building going on in the area. Seems it's all an indication that the area is growing, hopefully enough to support these businesses. I sure would love to see an Outback or something something like that. I read that there are 30 more business going in beyond what we're already seeing but dunno if that's true. I'm kinda assuming those would mostly be stores and restaurants, if it's true.

Jackalope Building in Bernalillo Being Redeveloped
By Jessica Dyer / Journal Staff Writer
Thursday, March 10th, 2016

The distinctive Jackalope building in Bernalillo is about to get a major beer infusion, and some new neighbors, as part of a multi-million dollar redevelopment of the property. Bosque Brewing Co. will move into the former housewares emporium along U.S. 550, the start of the new $7 million to $8 million Riverpointe Vistas project that will also bring at least one restaurant, a new Jackalope store and possibly additional retail. The craft brewery will use the spacious new digs to headquarter its growing production operation, start canning its beer and host another taproom. Jackalope vacated the site in 2010.

I read it's 5 acres of land. I'm wondering if they bought the Coronado Campgrounds behind the Jackalope. That would be awesome because that whole area is RIGHT over the river with views of the river, the cottonwoods and the mountains. I could see a walkway up there, and outdoor restaurant seating... We need an Italian restaurant up here but at that spot, I could totally see a BBQ place...

I believe the campground is owned by the Town of Bernalillo (see Town of Bernalillo - Coronado Campground), so I doubt they bought it.
