Some family friends live farther north than Unser and King and have had to keep their land line due to cell phone service being sketchy. They have Verizon. I doubt any other carrier would provide better service though. I have never had a problem getting phone service at the Santa Ana Star Center which is close to your location. Well, the service is bad in the lower arena, but the outside area is fine, so maybe you'll be okay. I'd go with Verizon.
I have a Verizon line for my personal cell (iPhone) and it works great everywhere. I am supplied a T-mobile phone (Samsung Galaxy 3s) by my office, and it works about 3/4 of the time around the city for phone service, but works everywhere for 4G and texting.
T-mobile also costs about half as much for a better plan (more minutes), so there you go. It's a much better deal if it actually works where you want to use it, lol. On the other hand, I cannot stand that effing Samsung phone and T-mobile doesn't have the iPhone. I am almost willing to pay $100 a month out of my own pocket to have a phone that works, that I know how to operate! Almost, not quite. :-/
So my answer is, if you know that T-Mobile works where you will be using it, and you know how to use an android system/phone, consider them. According to our admin people, they have the best values in cell phone contracts, which is why the company uses them. It you need a smart phone for dummies (i.e. the iPhone) go with AT&T or Verizon!
Oops, I just noticed you asked for RR, and I live in Abq. Sorry, I don't really know about RR. Disregard.
I have noticed you get a much better value with T-Mobile. I've used Android devices since the first Droid on Verizon, so I think I'm set in that respect.
