Hi everyone,
I think it's time.

I've been living with this bad nearsightedness for long enough.

Is there anyone here who's had this Lasik surgery recently and would be willing to share some input?

I see by a little research that the procedure has improved since I first looked at it some five years ago.

Any really STRONG recommendations?!?!

Thanks!!

-Bill

My wife and I went to Dr. Coleman two years ago in February. He is the best and his prices show it. That being said it is your eyes and it is worth paying more to have a qualified surgeon. When we visited Bernitsky, and Newman (both respected) we felt as though we were being pressured, similar to a used car lot. The entire process with Coleman was wonderful and people travel from all over to see him. In fact the day of our surgery there was a woman from London, and a gentleman from Australia.

As for the effects of the surgery, Dr. Coleman thought he could only get me to 20/20 or 20/25 because of my severe astigmatism, yet I actually see 20/15 post surgery. It has been two years and I don't regret it one bit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree Dr. Coleman does an excellent job from what I hear. I have always had great experiences from Dr. Teahan (sp?) in some other eye surgeries. I am pretty sure he does Lasik. Price him out, he might not be any cheaper for what I know.

Check out Newman Lasik on Montegomery, just west of San Mateo. I had some friends go there and now they can see much better. I'm also thinking about getting lasiks. They said it just takes less than a minute.
