The universe has finally decided that the time is right for my first visit.I will only be there from February 8th -11th 2019.I will be traveling with my younger son and a family friend. I am very excited !
I know this is in Santa Fe, but I wouldn't miss MeowWolf for anything! In fact, Santa Fe is a pretty nice place to visit, and since you're in the area anyway...
If you like the natural beauty of the area, the Sandia Mountains just east of I-25 in ABQ have so many places to wander about. You don't have to drive very far off the freeway to access so many places to experience the wonderful mountains and nature.
The tramway up the Sandias is another cool thing to do. And then, if you like ice skating, there is a super unique skating rink called Cool Loop near the tramway at the bottom of the Sandias. The rink has two skating rinks that are linked, hence the name "Loop."
There are a few things a younger person along with a couple adults might enjoy doing. Oh, and don't forget the usual tourist stuff. The area is so unique that even the super obvious tourist attractions are worth experiencing.

Please let me know how it goes, because I never visited New Mexico before, and I want to move to NM after college. I like the Albuquerque area, because it's a small metro area and I like having the outdoors in NM.

Have fun!!
Thanks for the tips . I will certainly bring my walking shoes and try to see as many places as possible. I plan to meet up with a realtor on the second day, just to get a feel of the neighborhoods. I’m sure I’ll be back to visit more than once .
