Anyone know why Cabela's (Abq) is temporarily closed? Covid employee positive tests or alleged rule breaches?

When will they be allowed to reopen?

Any place that regularly gets ammo in, even if it does not last long, or forums that keep track of what's available ?

Thanks

It sure sounds like they had a Covid outbreak on staff. People online are saying they reopen tomorrow, April 30th.

If you're looking for ammo it's very tough to come by at any retail establishment. My advice would be to go online. ammoseek.com is a great place to look for it.

If you look at the State's Rapid Response closures list, Cabela's is on there: https://www.env.nm.gov/rapid-response-data/

It says operations resume 4/29 so it may be back open.

Thanks for the helpful link; they did open today, no new ammo though.

Thanks, yes hard to get but if you luck out on the right day here and there some available locally at reasonable prices. And some at ridiculous price gouging rates. The upside to this year is you find out who you will happily do business with in the future and whom will never again get your business.

I just looked at the Facebook page for the ABQ store. They had an announcement of the closure and then several people saying they'd called customer service and been informed the store would reopen on the 30th.

No one likes the price gouging but it's become so hard to come across lately with an anti 2nd amendment president in place. I know a guy who does reloads out of Florida and he can't even get 357 brass. It's also taking him 26-30 weeks.....yes weeks, to get hollowpoint projectiles. At least at ammoseek it shows you what many online retailers have in stock and the price per round.

The second amendment ratified in 1791 has nothing to do with your silly political worship. No president in the foreseeable future will be outlawing guns in the U.S.A. It's nearly impossible. It's a controversial topic that gets all you political 1-sided sheep riled up (Yes, both Elephants and Donkeys). Background checks, mental health, etc are all a good reason for background checks, and it does not mean taking away everyone's goddam guns (although the left rhetoric around "assault weapons" is misleading and obnoxious). As a combat vet, I own many weapons, and I'm not the least bit scared of this bull**** political fear mongering, or worried about anyone taking my weapons away. Knock it off tough guy.
