Hello-

I am creating this post for my nephew, he is moving to Albuquerque to begin Law School next month . It is recommended that he stay in the North part of Albuquerque. Does that sound right? I have a couple of questions that I hope I can get answered.

1) Is there apartment locaters/finders here? I live in Austin, TX., using a locater is strongly recommended. I quickly googled the term and did not get very many locaters come up.

2) Is there any reputable real estate agents that handle duplexes or a small condo for rent or lease?

3) Any websites that are created for students to find roommates or rent part of a home?

4) Any feedback anyone can offer is appreciated. He is also trying to secure student housing on campus as well.

Thank you,

Richard

My opinion: don't help. Let him take responsibility and do it for himself. And learn from his mistakes if he makes any. If he's smart enough for law school he can handle figuring out housing on his own, like thousands of other students do. Save yourself (and us) the hassle of making recommendations.

UNM should have housing resources for students.
Be advised, the entire housing market is VERY tight in ABQ, and prices reflect it.

There are plenty of apartments surrounding campus in/around Downtown or Old Town that are in safer neighborhoods without having to schlep to the north side. https://www.apartments.com/apartment...8n30gztL1wm69D
