When I look at that picture of Houston and all those free standing monoliths surrounded by parking lots, I just think to myself ABQ should never get to look like that.

All I was saying is that ABQ could build very tall buildings if they wanted to. I then submitted my idea as to how they might.

I never meant to draw a comparison between the two cities.

I have a hunch that many of the buildings in ABQ downtown are built on very deep piers... but it's just a hunch.

What's the story with Packard Place? Have they begun construction?

Feels like Dubai... I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

Hahha mmm
Packard place...eh?

Well the Blue Dot corporation which is the company that is going to build the tower is currently building the anasazi lofts on gold, so when those are done in 2009 the company will take a break for 4 months, the packard place ground breaking is in early may of 2009 on the corner of 6th and gold.

I think its supposed to have blue glass

It is 500ft, and 40 stories. Will include lots of commercial.. like macy's and will have a bunch of places to eat .. the rest will be residential and community space.

I know Mullen Heller did the Anasazi... I think anything bigger would be difficult for them. Any idea on the designer of Packard?
