I was wondering, I know there are people who like Italian or Italian-American food here. While I know it is nowhere near as popular as Mexican or New Mexican food, I know that Italian food is still popular.

My favorite Italian restaurant in the Albuquerque Metro is Buca di Beppo. I really like their Chicken Parmesan.

Speaking of Italian food, come see my poll below:

I hate chain restaurants and their sauces in huge plastic bags...Vivace on Central and Pasta House in Rio Rancho and for cheap and good basics, Caruso's on Menaul.

Andros 1337, there are plenty of Italian restaurants in the ABQ area. I like Paisano’s on Eubank.

Since it looks like you live in Rio Rancho, Pasta House on Southern Blvd has always been my favorite. And if you want just a good pizza also try Frattellis, in the same mall.

For pizza, has to be Giovanni's.

Have you tried Nanna's on San Mateo around Comanche?

I really like certain dishes at Trombino's, but I haven't eaten there in a while because I always eat way too much when I go there. I love the pizza at Saggio's.

Joe's Pasta House on Southern in Rio Ranch is my favorite, too.

Having come from the Northeast (New York) where there is an abundance of good Italian restaurants, I was surprised at the dearth of Italian restaurants here, let alone good ones. I've found Trombinos to be very erratic, hit or miss. Scalo does a lot better, but my favorite for pastas has been Vivace on Central in Nob Hill. I haven't found a really good pizzeria yet.

I really like Giovannis!

I can never remember the name. I tell people to go to around San Pedro and Kathryn and they look at me like I am nuts - "there's no pizza place there???". Yes, there is, and it is very good!

Giovanni's, Mario's, Venezia's and Saggio's are my faves.
