Does anyone know if Verizon or AT&T is better in terms of numbers of users and reception? I currently have AT&T, not under contract, and about to move there.

We have been using Verizon for several years with good coverage from Rio Rancho to Los Lunas.

Never tried AT&T

As far as I know, Verizon and T-Mobile seem to be the most popular in Albuquerque. However, I use AT&T, and I am quite happy with the reception. I have heard Sprint is the one to avoid.

I have a friend who has bad service with T-Mobile. Can't even get service in his bedroom. Verizon is easily the one with the most coverage and most customers in New Mexico.

Interesting, since I have seen much more T-Mobile customers in Albuquerque than I have seen with AT&T. I know AT&T used to have subpar coverage in the area during the pre-Cingular era, however, coverage has greatly improved since Cingular bought out the old AT&T Wireless.

I work all over the state. The best reception of any of the cell providers we have tried over the years has been verizon hands down. We go into some very remote New Mexico locations places most will never see.

We have lived in SW NM, the east side of NM and now in Alamogordo and we have always had Verizon.

I've been with Verizon before it was Verizon - best coverage and best support even they cost a little bit more - worth the price.
