When attending a party, going to a bar or club or when dining out, which adult beverage do you prefer?

I'm going to be difficult!

I prefer the cocktail first but they have too many calories. My next option is beer but it also has a lot of calories and I feel full and bloated afterwards. So I usually settle for wine because it's healthier, less filling, and has the least calories per bang!

Depends....

If I am having pizza - I want a beer! During the summer where it is hotter than h e double hockey sticks - I want a beer.

If I am at a nice restaurant - I want a cocktail - a martini please and then switch to a glass of wine when my entrée comes.

Club - I would rather have a beer as it is quick to get and I don't have to worry about the club's wine list or their ability to mix a good cocktail.

I'll never turn down a nice cocktail, but wine is my preference.

Sorry to be a buzz kill, no pun intended, but I voted the last option.

Forgot to note, my favorite has got to be beer, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale at that.

I don't really drink cocktails anymore, except in very specific settings (for bloody Marys, margaritas or martinis). If I'm gonna have liquor I'll be sipping good whiskey or tequila--and I do mean sipping and savoring, not downing like a frat boy.

So it's between beer and wine. I'm leaning towards beer. I guess I'm imagining any generic social situation: There's a glass of wine and a beer sitting on a counter. Which do I grab? The silent ruby jewel...or the sweating just-opened bottle of ale with the mist plume rising, or mug with a foamy head that screams refreshment? Wine would make me smile and talk, but beer would make me laugh and joke. Much better time.

Wine...unless the cocktail is a toasted almond. I LOVE those things!!! I suck them down like chocolate milk and don't feel a thing -- until about 3 hours later!

I prefer beer, but a white russian or sombrero once in a great while hits the spot.
