Today i have bought a bottle of Remy Martin XO
im little suspicious about it because it wasnt in the box and bottle has no barcode so they had to find it in their system
im guessing they threw boxes out so they could save space? and barcode was on the box? or is it some fake?
i always buy alcohol from that store and never had any problems

can anyone tell me if this bottle comes in the box? does real remy martin xo bottle have barcode?
any other ways to check if its real?
i might have to return it because suspicion is bothering me

it looks exactly like this

I just finished that bottle and it came in a box. The bottle itself had a clear plastic seal over the cork topper, though I don't remember if the seal had print on it. I don't think so. There was no barcode on the bottle. Odd they would take it out of the box since they stack better. But if your bottle has the seal with the parallel vertical perforation for peeling off, it's genuine. It'd be major work to do a bogus one.

The barcode is only for US stores, so they put it on the box. I wouldn't worry about it.

Open it and taste it.
If you can't tell by the taste, you wasted your money.

i called them and asked why it was without box they said some boxes got damaged from flood caused by Sandy.
they said they received more of remy xo`s after sandy with new boxes and if i want i could go and exchange for one with the box.
since its not a gift and i will be drinking i didnt bother going there.

its a huge store and i had bought henny XO camus XO and other expensive cognacs from them and they were all genuine so i guess im good with this one too

heres their website
