I have heard from many people that drinking brandy is good for health. Is it true?

I dunno about Brandy per se (nondrinker, but it's my choice), but alcohol, so long as it as it has the original product you have the grapes for wines or grain and hops for beers.

In other words, refined liquor has little to no health benefits.

Wines and beers have the original product in sediments, so you get some of the nutritional benefits of that. There are some side effects, like drunkenness, and ummm some damage to liver. But yea expect that when drinking.

I do know however that bitters are supposed to be very good for health, since they have herbs mixed in.

Many French drink armagnac (similar to brandy) also for health reasons:

Brandy can ward off heart attacks | Mail Online

Honestly, armagnac is really good and you can find some very good values on it too. Most of it is produced by small family owned distilleries while Cognac is much more of a multi national conglomerate affair.

I like your comment, because the way you explain its very good. And I'm agreed with u about last line, because Bitter melon is bitter in taste but good for health.

I believe so.

I had a 104 year old aunt who had one every day for 70 years!

The Bible says something about drinking a little wine for your stomach's sake.

I don't really think so, but I do know a few people that enjoy a glass just before bedtime. I used to have a glass now and then, after dinner and I love it, whether it is good for me or not. The past few years I seem to have gotten out of the habit. Maybe I should take it up again???

Now, it known that a glass or two of red wine each night is good for you. Many doctors recommend it. Not mine, I think she is a tee tottler and a bit of a bore but she is nice.
