If I had to choose from those I'd pick Bud. But I really prefer some flavor in my beer, so I steer toward microbrews. Wife and I actually do some home brewing too. Its an enjoyable hobby.
Oh, yeah back to the question at hand... Since I live near the brewery, I'll have to vote for Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but their Hefewiesen (sp?) is terrific also. There's a small brewery in Boonville CA (rural Sonoma County) that makes a wonderful brew called "Boont Amber Ale".
Some other small microbrews around here (Northern CA) that are pretty good too. The Etna Brewery in Siskiyou County has a couple of tasty ales. I don't really care for the Widmer line though-too hoppy for my tastes. To each his own.
For out of the area, I like the Alaska Amber Ale and some of the Deschutes Brewery products.
Rogue beer if you're rich. That is some darn good beer, but the price is ridiculous. It's not THAT good. Well, actually it is. So c'mon Rogue lower the prices. The common people want to enjoy it too.
Back to the selections, between the three, I'll take Coors, as long as it's on tap. Otherwise, no.
My own favorites are Molson Golden, Fosters, Moosehead, Becks, and Rolling Rock.
If I had to choose one of them it would be Bud. I only use it for BBQ'ing with it steams up pretty good and leaves good flavour. I wouldnt let it touch my lips though.
Social Beer: Guinness
Party Beer: Grolsch or Erdinger
I do brew my own and am gonna bottle an Irish Red tonight.
Since I am over 50, I go in for a check up once a Year!! Several Years back the Dr. told Me that I was to high on carbs. I used to drink Bud Lite, now I drink Miller lite to lower the carbs.
the other day, at my supermarket, I paced it off. The Bud section was more than twice as big as the Coors and Miller sections combiined. I've also found that if you want regular (not Lite), you actually have to search for it. Inexplicably, the Light beers outsell the regulars about ten to one here. Why not just buy regular beer at the same price, and fill the glass half way, and add the water yourself?
I have started buying Schlitz---it is about 15c a can cheaper than Bud, and at least for the time being, it's better than Bud (what isn't?). Luckily, here near the border, Tecate is almost the same price as Bud.
Schlitz is horrible!
If forced to drink either that or Bud it would be a tough decision.
