Sauterne is a nice dessert wine. Not sickly sweet as most of the Manischewitz are (I use the Concorde Grape for cooking but would never actually drink it!) and not as sweet as a White Zinf but nicely inbetween. Liebfraumilch is also an option.

Try a cream sherry (like Meiers) or a port wine, both are heavier dessert wines.

While they are not inexpensive, try an ice wine.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried white zinfandel and find it better than most. I will try the riesling which I have never had and see if I like it.
I don't know what an ice wine is but I'll ask about it the next time I am at the store.

Make sure it's a sweet riesling! Some of them can be very tart otherwise!

Research muscadine wines available in your area and then try a blush version.

Good luck.

Fetzer Gerwurtztraminer is a really good, crisp and sweet wine. Less than $9 a bottle at most groceries as well.

My favorite desert wine in Cherry Kijafa. It tastes just like a big bowl full of bing cherries.

I'm a white zin fan, too, especially the Glen Ellen. Sutter Home is pretty good, too.

If you like a sparkling wine, try Martini and Rossi's Asti Spumante. Yum.
